Marathon Monday Wk 23

It’s that day of the week again!  The day of the week where we look back at our training from last week and look ahead to this new week’s training!

First — I’d like to say what a relief it is to find out that I’ve been basically riddled with infection for the past 5-6 weeks.  I thought I was just a wimp for feeling so bad some days and fighting with gunk for so long!  I really thought that I was just struggling with allergies or pollen/sinus junk… turns out, I’ve had a raging sinus infection turned throat infection turned ear infection!!  RIDDLED!  My doc actually used her hands to gesture that from the top of my head to the bottom of my throat is all infected.  Yeah.

I guess I have to give myself some grace for all those missed/messy runs, since of course my body was not at 100%.

Despite feeling cruddy, going to urgent care, discovering I was riddled with infection, and then adjusting to high doses of meds to fix the infections — I was super determined to get my long run DONE this week.  And I DID IT!  ALL 18 miles!!!  It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it!
